Joseph Saahene serves as the Vice President and General Counsel at Usio, bringing extensive legal experience in corporate law and compliance. Mr. Saahene is responsible for advising executives, senior management, and the board on various matters such as legal rights, complex regulatory frameworks, and developing strategies that align with the company’s business objectives. Previously, Joseph was a federally licensed litigation attorney and specialized in mediation, arbitration, negotiation, and dispute resolution. Mr. Saahene holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Texas Tech University, a Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor degree with an emphasis on alternative dispute resolution from St. Mary’s University. Additionally, Joseph holds certifications in, Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Payments Professional (CPP). A long with his professional achievements, Joseph actively engages in community service, supporting initiatives focused on providing legal assistance to underserved populations. He is also a mentor to aspiring lawyers, promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal profession.
