FAQ's Regarding our Name Change from Payment Data Systems, Inc. to Usio, Inc.
Why are you changing your name?
Over the course of its rich history, spanning more than 20 years, Payment Data Systems (“PDS”) has established a dominant position within the ACH segment of the Financial Services sector. Payment Data Systems, by its very nature, seems to indicate to would-be hackers and/or perpetrators of fraud that PDS is the place to find “payment data.” Moreover, through our strategic acquisition of Akimbo in late 2014 and Singular Payments in September of 2017, the company has evolved into a turn-key, end-to-end processing platform, leveraging its prepaid card issuance and merchant acquiring capabilities. This growth and maturation has brought a broader suite of financial technology assets, a more robust set of products, services, and ultimately a number of brands and logos. Simplifying our brand to eliminate confusion was needed.
What does the new name mean?
The new name, Usio, represents the fusion of many products, many services, many incredible people and the infinite possibilities created through our innovative payment technology. Over the past several years, the evolution of our business into a leading FinTech platform has vastly accelerated. We now offer solutions covering processing needs from card issuing to merchant acquiring and operate interfaces ranging from mobile apps to application programming interfaces. This new brand identity will help better position the company and more effectively communicate our comprehensive, industry-leading value proposition to our numerous constituencies.
Are you being acquired?
No. Usio is publicly traded on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol USIO. We are not being acquired.
What is your new website address?

We will still continue to process ACH payments. It is a large part of our business. In addition to ACH processing, we have merchant acquiring and processing lines of business, including our latest innovation in payment facilitation called PayFac-in-a-Box, and prepaid card issuing through our Akimbo product.
